The Memorial Flower Preservation Process: How It Works
Memorial flowers come to us during a difficult and unexpected moment. Families are grieving, making arrangements, and trying to honor someone they love. Our goal is to make this part of the process as simple as possible. When your flowers arrive, we begin preservation right away. This gives you time to breathe and decide what type of artwork feels right for you and your family.
Once your flowers are fully dried, we reach out so you can choose your frame or bundle, or request the return of your pressed flowers. After your selection, we design your layout, share proofs, and complete your artwork with care. Throughout the process, we keep your flowers safe and encourage you to reach out anytime you need an update or reassurance.
PRESSING FEE:
To begin preservation, all memorial flowers are pressed for a flat $150.
This fee covers:
- Up to two bouquets or one small or medium wreath
- Full pressing and drying
- Safe storage until you choose your frames
The pressing fee is due at drop‑off or upon arrival by mail, along with a signed contract. If you have more than two bouquets or a larger wreath, additional flowers can be pressed for an added fee.
ARRIVAL & INTAKE:
Once you contact us, we will guide you through drop‑off or shipping arrangements. Please do not send or deliver flowers without confirming with us first. When your flowers arrive, we photograph them immediately and assess their condition. Memorial flowers often arrive fragile, and we handle them with specialized care to preserve as much beauty as possible.
PRESERVATION & DESIGN:
Your flowers move through a multi‑step preservation process that may include pressing, air‑drying, and reconstructing delicate blooms. When the flowers are fully dried, we will reach out so you can select your frame or bundle, or choose to have your pressed flowers returned. After your selection, we design your layout based on the frame size and style you choose. Proofing is provided before final assembly.
CHOOSING FRAMES:
When your flowers are ready, you may select individual frames or one of our memorial bundles. We can find frames to make your style and vision.
PAYMENT PROCESS:
- $150 pressing fee at drop‑off or shipping
- Half of your framing total due before artwork begins
- Remaining balance due at pickup
- Shipping and tax added when applicable
- Studio pickup is always free

- 8×10 Pressed Flower Frame: $175
- 5×7 Pressed Flower Frame: $95

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO FRAME:
You may have your memorial flowers pressed for the $150 fee and returned to you. Flowers are returned exactly as they come out of the press. They are not color corrected or reassembled, and all pressed flowers and leaves included in your order will be returned. This option is ideal for families who want the flowers preserved but plan to store or display them in their own way.
TIMELINE:
Memorial work is always unexpected, and we do our best to honor these orders with care and flexibility.
- Wedding turnaround: 4 to 6 months
- Memorial turnaround: We aim for 4 to 5 months, but this depends on volume and the time of year
- Peak wedding season: Timelines may extend as we fit memorials around scheduled wedding work

Color correction is available for flowers that naturally shift during pressing and provides gentle restoration and helping resist fading. Laminated bookmarks are created from your memorial petals and finished with a grommet and premium ribbon for a durable, elegant keepsake. Glass ornaments offer a simple way to preserve petals in a meaningful way.
Available Upgrades: 99% UV acrylic for added protection when the frame style allows. Custom frames, display boxes, dome cloches available.
