Welcome to Honest Bloom Studio.
I started this work because I love flowers. Not just love them, but truly admire their beauty, complexity, and ability to mark life's most meaningful moments. Inspired by Luther Burbank's words, "Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine to the soul," I created Honest Bloom Studio to celebrate flowers long after they would have faded.
My goal is simple: to transform meaningful flowers into heirloom artwork that preserves both their beauty and their story.
ARTISTRY:
Every preservation begins with listening.
Your bouquet is more than a collection of flowers. It represents a moment, a memory, and a chapter of your life. Before I begin designing, I take time to understand your vision, the flowers that matter most to you, and how you hope to display and enjoy your artwork for years to come.
No two bouquets are alike, and no two preservation pieces should be either.
Rather than relying on templates or predetermined layouts, each design is created individually. Flower placement, composition, color balance, spacing, and framing are carefully considered to create a finished piece that feels intentional, refined, and uniquely yours.
The goal is not simply to preserve flowers. The goal is to create a piece of art that honors them.

It requires patience, technical expertise, and a commitment to using materials worthy of the memories they protect.
At Honest Bloom Studio, archival preservation is at the heart of every piece. The flowers are carefully processed, color corrected when appropriate, and mounted using professional methods designed to support their long-term preservation.
Just as important as the flowers themselves is the frame that protects them.
I partner with independent framers, including women-owned Ohio businesses, who build many of their frames from scratch. From handcrafted hardwood frames to custom-made oval frames that are individually painted and finished by hand, these artisans create frames that are works of art in their own right.
The frame is never an afterthought.
It protects the flowers. It showcases the artwork. It elevates the design. It becomes part of the story.
Many of the framing partners I work with create pieces for galleries, museums, and fine art collections, bringing a level of craftsmanship rarely found in mass-produced framing.
To further protect your preservation, I use Tru Vue acrylic with 99% UV protection, with museum-grade glazing options available for clients seeking the highest level of archival protection.

About the Artist
Hi, I'm Lauren Klouda, founder and artist behind Honest Bloom Studio.
My creative journey began long before floral preservation. As a child, I was always drawn to art and creating with my hands. In 2004, I began formal training in graphic design and multimedia arts, developing the strong design foundation and artistic eye that now influence every preservation piece I create.
My love of flowers took root in 2008 when I began growing them in my own gardens. What started as a passion quickly grew into something much more. By 2020, I was growing and selling edible flowers, drying flowers for wholesale and botanical artists, and creating pressed-flower artwork from blooms grown on my farm.
When I decided to offer floral preservation professionally, I made a conscious choice not to learn through clients' wedding bouquets and treasured flowers. I believe the flowers that mark life's most meaningful moments deserve experience, skill, and careful craftsmanship. Before accepting preservation clients, I spent years studying pressing techniques, preservation methods, flower behavior, and color restoration to ensure I could deliver the quality and care those memories deserve.
Today, I bring nearly seven years of floral preservation experience to every piece I create. I specialize in bespoke preservation artwork and have dedicated countless hours to mastering the art of maintaining and restoring color, allowing flowers to retain as much of their natural beauty as possible for years to come.
For me, floral preservation is more than pressing flowers. It is about honoring the memories, emotions, and stories they represent. Every bouquet is unique, and every piece is thoughtfully designed as a one-of-a-kind work of art, created with the same care and attention I would give my own most cherished keepsakes.
